4 steps to cook chicken wings on an outdoor electric grill
Overall it’s simple to grill chicken wings on an electric grill. To do this:
- Preheated your grill to about medium-high heat for about 15 minutes or so. If your grill is seasoned, you may start to see smoke coming out the sides
- In the meantime, put the wings in a large bowl, toss with olive oil, garlic powder, and onion powder. You could also add salt or other seasonings you prefer.
- When the grill is fully heated, start cooking your first batch of wings for 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees to avoid eating undercooked poultry.
- Put the cooked wings in a covered dish, pour in your favorite BBQ sauce, and toss. You can either buy your BBQ sauce or make your own.
If you cook more wings than you can eat at one time, you can eat them for leftovers for the next day or so. They reheat well which is great for a busy week so you don’t have to cook again. And they reheat even better if you have an air fryer.
